Furnace - Steampunk Matchbox by Indirie Furnace - Steampunk Matchbox by Indirie
Another matchbox - this time it allows us a view into the fiery depth of the furnace. Do you really dare to open it and take out a match? .-)

My second try with cardboard and I am liking it more and more .-)

It's a really clever idea, and works very well with the matches theme! The grill and the rivets look so metallic, I would never have guessed you'd started with cardboard =].

thank you! i like the effect, too, and it is rather simple - just paint the cardboard black and then brush it over with a rather dry brush with gold, silver or bronze color. give it a try, it is easy and fun!

Thank you! I really enjoyed playing around with these "fire-ideas". I think I could make a whole collection of matchboxes without getting bored - but what should I ever do with all these boxes? :-)

You could sell them.

Hm, would anyone care to buy a steampunk matchbox? I think that - at least in Germany - there is no market yet for steampunk-stuff...

Thank you very much, I am glad you like my work!
Perhaps I will have a look at etsy. It is so much easier making the things than selling them ;-) But I have to do something, my boxes and cupboards are overflowing...

Hehe, I'm the same! I've got way to much jewellery now adn don't have anywhere to put it. But I'm thinking of beginning to sell steampunk stuff on etsy. :D

So one day we will all end at etsy :-) But it would be nice to make a little money with the things I don't need anymore - I could re-invest it into new material for further works... and more... and much more... :-)
